This poster was created for the Don Nichols 2019 Scholarship Competition. The theme was 1960s graphic design and advertising, so I decided to redesign a movie poster from a different era and make it fit the style of the 60s. “Heathers” is actually a movie from the 1980’s starring Winona Ryder. At first glance, it seems like your average teen romance movie, but it’s actually a dramatic story of murder.
I ended up winning first place in the Don Nichols competition with this poster and also received a Silver Student Addy for my poster in the 2020 Addy’s.
